Brad S. Schoener -
Arranger/Composer
Mr. Schoener received his Bachelors in Music degree from Temple University's School of Music and is currently in his
22nd year as a music educator in the Upper Darby School District. He has been an elementary band director at Highland
Park, Bywood, and Stonehurst Hills Elementary for 14 years. He began teaching in Upper Darby in 1984 at Beverly Hills Middle
School, directing the Band and Orchestra and Jazz Band for eight years prior to switching to the elementary position.
The number of students participating in the band programs tripled under his tenure. He has recently guest conducted
his compositions and arrangements at the District 7, and District 12 Pennsylvania Music Educator's Band Festivals, the West
Chester Honors Band Festival, as well as the York County "Monster Band" festival. His compositions and arrangements
are self-published through Schoener Custom Music on the web at bandmusickidslove.com which links directly to J.W. Pepper who
is the chief distributor of his music. A graduate of Temple University, he has been active as a professional musician
with many Philadelphia-based groups such as "The Coup", "Midnight Hour","The Exceptions", and the original " Soul Survivors."
He has also played 50 dates a year as a member of a 11-piece rhythm and blues band, ""Masquerade." Although
primarily a trumpet player, Mr. Schoener also free-lances professionally on trombone, baritone saxophone, flute, harmonica,
tuba, and even bagpipes (in full regalia). Mr. Schoener also served as principal trumpet for the Lansdowne Symphony
and currently organizes and directs an inter-generational concert band for Westminster Presbyterian Church in West Chester.

Oscar Schoener -
SCM Mascot
Oscar is a 21 pound cat found on the playgrounds of Upper Darby School District. Oscar is very happy sleeping in
instrument cases. He enjoys moths, eating, sitting on cars, eating, staying where the people are, and eating.

Jennifer Weidman Schoener -
SCM Administrator
Mrs. Schoener is an elementary instrumental instructor for the Eastern Lancaster County School District
in New Holland, PA. Previous to this appointment, she was the high school band director for five years at Garden Spot
High School. Mrs. Schoener conducted the Pennsylvania District 7 Youth Band Fest in November 2000 and the District 12 Intermediate
Band Fest in March 2001.
Mrs. Schoener is a graduate of Millersville University with a B.S. in Music
Education. She has done graduate study in conducting and music education at Indiana University, (Bloomington, IN), Temple
University, Villanova University, and West Chester University. She received her Master of Arts in Education degree
at Gratz College as of May 2005. Prior to raising a family, Mrs. Schoener performed with the New Holland Band and the Lancaster
Symphony. Currently, she is enjoying the role of "soccer, basketball, scout, trumpet, piano, drums, and church choir"
mom!

Dick Weidman -
SCM Graphic Artist
Dick Weidman is the father of Jennifer Weidman Schoener, and creator of the SCM musical kids and cartoon cats.
Weidman is a professional artist who has worked over 40 years in commercial and television graphics.
He is a graduate of the Chicago Academy of Fine Art, and is best known for his popular comic strip, "Silos"... a story
where country silos come alive to discuss humorous events and problems of their world! Dick has a keen love of all animals,
and considers himself "Grand-Daddy-O" to the Schoener cats. He lives in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, a rich farmland
community where cats are king! Dick says, "Just ask the cows!"

Cleo - Our Jazz Cat!
Cleo is Oscar's hyper little sister who can never sit still! Found on the country playground of New Holland Elementary,
she is a welcome member of Schoener Custom Music!
